I graduated in 2006 and spent some time in factories, doing body work, industrial paint and construction. Each one of these I thought would make a good career. After working at Angus Palm for almost a year I got really burned out on painting so in 2008 I decided to go back to school for building trades since it was something I grew up around. Construction is something I enjoyed at the time but there were two main reasons I decided to choose a different career path. The first is the average pay for a construction worker is very low for the amount of work involved. The second came with the economic slowdown in the last couple years. When the economics slowed down the competition in the field heated up. I chose energy operation because it is a growing field.
In my spare time I like to build radio controlled trucks. The ones I like building most are for rock crawling but I also like race trucks. I also like to spend time with my girlfriend Christy. Occasionally work on cars, play paintball or ride four-wheeler.

This is my 1995 Nissan Hardbody. The front suspension is modified by removing all the bump stops and adding shocks from a 1973 Ford pinto. The back has been modified by adding 3” drop blocks and the leaf spring hangars have been re-drilled and chopped. I hope to have this on air ride someday but it is a major work in progress. For now it sits around 4" off the grond.
