    The dictionary defines “vast” as: of very great size or proportions. In conclusion I feel that the knowledge required by the field of Energy Operation is vast. It touches on everything from the molecular level of life with chemistry, to the ideas of that are still being developed with super computers. In writing this wiki it gave us the ability to cover some of this knowledge in a non-lecture setting and make some discoveries of our own.

The math is done by multiplying the number you have by its conversion factor. For example, if you were trying to convert 3 troy ounces to grams you would use its conversion factor. 1 troy ounce weighs 31.1 grams. Since troy ounce is the unit you are trying to get rid of, you put it on the bottom, this is written:
    3troy ounce=31.1grams
    1Troy ounce
    Next you cancel the units
    3troy ounce=31.1grams
    1troy ounce
    Finally multiply the numbers that are left and don’t forget to carry the label that is left.

    One of the easiest ways to see the effects of temperature on matter is the phase changes of water. When the temperature is low molecules move very slowly and form structures that stick together. As heat is applied the water molecules start to move faster, bounce off each other and turn to a liquid. If the temperature continues to increase the molecules will move so fast they move freely and turn into a liquid. If this rise in temperature continues they will move so fast that they turn into a gas. The same principal happens when the process is reversed and water turns into ice. The animitation on this website demonstrates the effects of temperature on water. If you lower the temperature you can see the water molecules slow and turn into an ice, but if you raise the temperature you can see them turn into a liquid and gas.

    Molten rock is also an example of the effects of temperature on matter. When rock reaches its melting point, it turns into a liquid and can move.
    Pressure
